Almost two years ago I reported that a new Sur La Table opened at South Coast Plaza. Now, Sur La Table at South Coast Plaza will be undergoing a remodel and will be hosting their newest Cooking School.

The construction hasn’t started yet, but it’s scheduled to start next Tuesday. For the next 6-7 weeks they will be building a brand new kitchen in the back of the store. They will be moving their existing inventory room elswhere and that space will become the school. They are knocking down a wall so the entry to the school can be seen from the front of the store.

This is great news for those living in Central and South Orange County. I think this is going to be very successful for them. That location gets lots of foot traffic and the response to the school is going to be awesome!

Their first class is scheduled for the third week of September. They will host an array of classes for the non-cook to the the seasoned home chef. You can check out their first offerings HERE. Class prices will vary and range from $69.00 and up. Most of the classes will be Hands-On and host up to 16 students.

For those interested, their first class is a collaboration class developed with personality chef, Bobby Flay. The class, called Bobby Flay’s Grill It starts on September 11 and it is a 3 part class also happening on the next 2 Sundays.
