DC Trip, My First Meal
Scott Mindeaux, Editor
It might not be much, but this is my first meal since I touched ground at National Airport. I’m still on West Coast time but it’s after 1am here in DC.
So there is not much for me to choose from. So … I went down to the lobby and bought myself an apple and a Nature Valley Granola Bar.
I’m here in DC for 4 days and hoping to taste some great food here. When I got out of the airplane I was hoping for some brisk fall temperatures, but they had a bit of a warm up on Friday and temps were in the upper 80s with high humidity. What is this? It’s Fall for the gods sake. It was quite muggy outside but according to the weather reports, temps will only be in the upper 60s with a chance of rain. Oddly the low tonite will 70 (it’s 73 and 2am EDT), but the daytime high will be in the 60s. The rest of my stay will be in the 60’s – yea!
Well gotta get to sleep so I can adjust to the time change. The Clarendon/Courthouse used to host a Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings. I’d like to see if I can make that.
