Cuisinart has released a new Food Processor. It is called the Elite and currently it is exclusive to Williams-Sonoma. This new sleeker design features at 16cup bowl which also takes nested bowls for smaller jobs. Nested bowls come in 13 cup and 4.5 cup sizes. This is a first for Cuisinart and a welcome change. Prior to this model, only Kitchenaid had this ability.
Another feature they have added is locking the blades in place. I can’t tell you the number of times I have poured out liquid from the bowl and forgot to hold the blade, only to have it fall into the bowl and splatter stuff all over the place. Another feature is a better seal between the bowl and the lid. Better gaskets make for a better seal to keep those liquids in.
The new processor features a 1000 watt motor that runs super quiet. The body is made in die cast metal and looks slick. The new unit retails for $545 but is on sale at Williams-Sonoma for $299.99. The unit ships with three bowls, two discs (slicing and shredding), two blades and spatula. The unit also ships with a DVD.
I can’t wait to get my hands on one. I wonder when the exclusive ends?

I love the nesting bowl and locking blade features. I agree, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten to hold the blades while pouring liquid. Only to find the blade splattering all over the kitchen.
Just got one. It rocks!
Other FPs have interlocking bowls, but these don’t leak, and it’s a breeze to do a bunch of tasks in a row. The feature that sold me was the adjustable slicing blade…no more drawerful of blades to cut different thicknesses.
Powerful, quiet, easy cleanup, the disc storage box is incredible. Just can’t say enough good about this machine.
hah! I love how others also forget to hold the blade when pouring and trying to do a million other things at the same time. There should be a show like America’s Funniest Not Holding the Blades Moments :)
Definitely going to try this one out, thanks Scott!
I love all food processor.
They have made our live much more easier !
