S. Pellegrino and Restaurant Magazine Announce 2009 World’s Top 50 Restaurants

S. Pellegrino and Restaurant Magazine have released their 2009 Top 50 Restaurants in The World list. Eight restaurants from the United States made the list. First published by Restaurant magazine in 2002 and now in its eighth year, The S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants is recognized around the world as the most credible indicator of the best places to eat on Earth.

Some items of note. Charlie Trotter’s which was on the list in 2008 at #38 has fallen off the list as have all of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants. Chez Panisse fell to position #59 down from #37 last year

El Bulli in Spain once again takes the #1 position.

    Scott, the file opens, but unfortunately I get the following error: “Cannot extract the embedded font ‘LMZXGS+DidoniURWD-Norm’. Some characters may not display or print correctly.”

    The result is that the file is unreadable. I’m using Acrobat Reader 7.0, so maybe it’s a versioning issue.

    Hey Kevin, thanks for the heads up. I just tried the link on Mac and Windows and didn’t have a problem downloading or opening the PDF. Hmmm…
