Something Must Be Wrong (or Right)

My blood glucose levels have not spiked above 200 in over 3 days. I put in a new transmitter on my CGMS (Continuous Glucose Monitor System) a few days ago. In addition, I have done quite a few regular finger pricks to confirm the readings. Turns out I was using strips that were “expired”. I’m not sure how technology expires. So I found some non-expired test strips and the readings are the same.
My largest spike was somewhere around 170 just after lunch. I did have some carbs with lunch. I skipped breakfast and usually that makes me spike as my body starts to create sugars to make up for the lack of food.
Don’t get me wrong, staying under 200 is wonderful, I just haven’t been able to do it.
