Back in january on the 7th episode of Top Chef, Season 5, world renown chef Jean-Christophe Novelli was a guest judge. Jean-Christophe is the owner of several restaurants in France, London and South Africa. He also runs Britain’s Novelli Academy Cookery School.

jc_trevor_mcdonald2Well Jean-Christope is coming to the States and has opened a cooking school here in Los Angeles called Chef Academy. I’m not sure if he actually “opened” a school or if it real. If it is, it’s the best kept secret in LA! I would be taking classes there if I could find it.

The series will follow Jean-Christophe and his students in much the same way Bravo’s Blow Out and Work Out series. The students will be tested and measured based on what they’ve learned in the Academy’s kitchens. Mentorn USA, the same production company for Jackie Warner’s Work Out is the same one for Chef Academy.

Filming for the series actually took place in 2008 as Jean-Christophe has since returned to Britain and attending to his Academy there.

More to come on Chef Academy when it is available!
