Mother’s Has Been Saved by Kellogg

As you may remember from my previous blog post: Mother’s Cookies Are No More, the company that owned Mother’s Cookies filed for bankruptcy and closed up.

Well turns out that Kellogg’s, based in Michigan, is coming to the rescue and will be selling Mother’s cookies. Kellogg of course is our favorite cereal company. Store shelves at my local grocery store have been running low on Mother’s since distribution ended in early October.

The shelves still had quite a selection of Mother’s Cookies in early October, but by Thanksgiving, they were down to almost nothing. The first picture is what it looked like. There was actually a fourth shelf on top with the bagged cookies. By Thanksgiving week it was down to 2 types of cookies.

I’m glad Mother’s will be coming back.

I didn’t know Mother’s was going under. I’m curious to see how Kellogg’s will change the branding.
