Sprouts Farmers Market

So I made my way up to Tustin today to visit Sprouts Farmers Market to check it out. They moved into the space that used to be Whole Foods on Newport and 1st.
When I got there I pushed my cart into the store and something didn’t feel right. They had all the same items that you could probably find at a Whole Foods, but the store felt very generic and sterile to me. I thought it very interesting that for a store that was supposed to be a “Farmers Market” that in their Fresh Vegetable section they had an “Organic” section. The vegetable section was at the back of the store and somehow that seemed odd too. They have over 30 stores in Colorado, Arizona, Texas and California. Here, there are 7 stores with 2 more scheduled for Brea and Riverside. The following photos are from their website:

It was interesting to me that this store felt very open and “empty” as opposed to when Whole Foods was located there and the store felt very packed.
The prices seemed reasonable, but not sure I’ll be shopping much here. The new Whole Foods is equidistant from my home in Mission Viejo. The staleness of the store put me off.
