A food blog is probably the last place you’d see a blog posting about voting. The upcoming election has many meausres, propositions beyond the Presidential Election.

For example, here in California there is a Proposition on the ballot in regards to animal cruelty in regards to farm animals. Proposition 2 is a modest measure that stops cruel and inhumane treatment of animals, ending the practice of cramming farm animals into cages so small the animals can’t even turn around, lie down or extend their limbs. Better farming practices yields better crops and food. Even if you don’t live in California, whatever decision happens in our State will surely have ripples throughout the rest of the country.
