How Did I Miss This? Culinary Adventures Files Chapter 11

October 26, 2008
Scott Mindeaux

In Late August 2008, David Wilhelm the mastermind behind Savannah’s, Sorrento Grille and French 75 resigned from Culinary Adventures, a company he founded in 1997. Citing economic challenges, Culinary Adventures closed several locations. French 75 and Sorrento Grille will remain open under the Culinary Adventure name with its Chief Financial Officer now in charge. They are hoping to be profitable again within 6 months.

I have tried twice now with my co-workers and foodie friends Tim and Brooke to eat at the then, Chat Noir in Costa Mesa and then again when it was rebranded as a Savannah. Now that David wilhelm is no longer at the “helm” I’m not so sure I wan to try having a meal at French 75. But I probably should before they close up as well. Tim and I were in Laguna Beach earlier this month and while we were walking, we stopped off in front of French 75.
