NRO: My First Tommy’s Burger

Can you believe that I have never had an Original Tommy’s Burger here in Southern California? So the IT Team and I went to Tommy’s to check it out. I would say that the next competing chain would be In and Out.
The rest of the team got the traditional burgers which come with pickles, onions, tomatoes, cheese and chili. The fries come plain or with chili and or chili/cheese. I actually opted for a burger without chili and tomato. I was having acid reflux issues and didn’t have my pills with me. Without the chili, the burger was rather flat and most of the flavor came from the pickles and not the meat. The pattie was rather thin compared to the amount of bread in the bun.
My friends brought their cameras with them and they took a couple of picture. They are still trying to convince me to go with a high end “instamatic” digital rather than going with a digital SLR. THe following sets were taken with a Canon SD200 (first three) and a Sony DSC170 (last three).

I’m a fan of chili burgers (although admit I too have not sampled Tommy’s), but those chili pics don’t inspire me to run to the nearest Tommy’s. And I don’t think it’s a function of the camera or the camera operator. What was the feedback from those who got their burgers “original style?”
The chili was a bit much for one of my associates. The other two enjoyed their burgers and chili fries. To me, there was way too much chili and the chili just didn’t look appetizing to me.
